Priscilla Razon: Preschool Director & Lead Teacher
Mrs. Razon has 17 years of experience. Nine of those years have been in growing our Preschool Program. If you come and spend a morning in her class, you will see she has found her niche in the 2’s and 3’s class. She loves to have her students experience their learning through their senses. Some of Priscilla’s favorite things are: down time with friends, Starbucks (anytime), and planning party extravaganzas.

Bawboih Muang:
Pre-Kinder
Miss Bawboih has many years of experience in the Pre-K classroom. She is a proud Summa Cum Laude graduate of UNM with a degree in Psychology. Over the years, she has discovered a deep passion for working with children and believes they are a precious gift from God, reflecting His grace and mercy in our lives. Her love and care shine through as she builds strong, meaningful relationships with her students. Outside the classroom, Miss Bawboih enjoys Mexican and Asian food, staying active, singing, and spending time with God.

Melanie Cano:
Kindergarten &
Principal
Mrs. Cano graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a passion to work with kids. After teaching various grades from 3-8 in California, she moved to New Mexico and then joined the SVCS family in 2020. She enjoys spending time with her family—her husband, daughter, son, and dog, and exploring her new home of New Mexico. Her own interests include baking, trying a variety of ethnic dishes, playing the piano, singing, watching musicals and movies, and sleeping in.
Ayanna King:
Grade 1
Mrs. King is a California native with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She has experience working with children from infancy through school-age in both teaching and administrative roles. She is passionate about helping children grow spiritually, academically, and socially so they can shine for Jesus. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and friends, and watching TV. Some of her favorite treats are Thai food, extra-butter popcorn, and Starbucks.

Alexandria Gurule:
Grades 3 & 4
This is Coach Alex. She has a B.S in Psychology from Southwestern Adventist University. She coached college ball for 2 years and now coach girls basketball at both Sandia View Christian School and Sandia View Academy. Sports has always been her passion and has changed her life for the better and wants to help give that opportunity to the students here. Her favorite chip is Miss Vickie’s jalapeño kettle.
Omar Mendez:
Grades 5th and 6th

Yvette Chacon:
Grades 7 & 8
Vice Principal
Ms. Chacon has 25 years of teaching experience, fifteen of those teaching history at Sandia View Academy. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and has furthered her education at Southwestern Adventist University. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and her hobbies include writing, knitting, woodworking and learning new forms of craftsmanship. She is a proud mother of two girls, with who she enjoys learning new things, skills and hobbies.

Diann Gurule:
Secretary-Treasurer
I joined the family in 2009. I started out as an aide in the classrooms then was hired to be the Secretary/Treasurer in 2013. I have a passion for helping young people grow in Christ.

Nancy Marquez:
Paraprofessional
Mrs. Nancy is a dedicated teacher’s aide who finds great joy and purpose in working with children. Beyond her work with children, Mrs. Nancy is a loving mother of two and deeply values time spent with her family. She has passion for baking and decorating cakes, often creating beautiful and delicious treats for her family. Some of her favorite things include sipping Starbucks drinks, watching movies, and going on trips-always finding joy in both the simple and special moments in life.

Isabella Daggs:
Afternoon Preschool Teacher
Miss Bella is an alumni of SVCS, where she attended from preschool through 8th grade, and is now pursuing her dream of becoming a nurse. She has a passion for volleyball, playing for two years at Union Adventist University, and still enjoys the game whenever she can. Bella loves children and enjoys spending time with them, bringing her joyful and caring spirit into every interaction. Her bright personality shines just like her favorite flower, the sunflower and she can never resist anything chocolate.
