Priscilla Razon: Preschool Director & Lead Teacher
Mrs. Razon has 14 years of experience. Six of those years has been in growing our Preschool Program. If you come and spend a morning in her class, you will see she has found her niche in the 2’s and 3’s class. She loves to have her students experience their learning through their senses. Some of Priscilla’s favorite things are: down time with friends, Starbucks (anytime), and planning party extravaganzas.

Bawboih Muang: Pre-Kinder
Miss Bawboih has 4 years of experience in the Pre-K classroom. She is a proud Suma Cum Laude alumnus of UNM with a degree in Psychology. She has discovered a hidden passion for working with children. You can see the love and care shine through her eyes while she is building relationships with her students. Bawboih enjoys Mexican food, gym time, singing, and spending alone time with God.

Annette Monge:
Kindergarten
This is Ms. Annette’s first year as the Kindergarten teacher at SVCS. She recently graduated from Southwest Adventist University with a Bachelor’s in Education. She is very grateful that she gets to teach the littles and shape their minds! Like her favorite motto says “It takes a big heart to shape little minds”.

Casey Harris
Grade 1
Principal
Mrs. Harris is a teaching principal who is the teacher of a very active first grade class. Her favorite subjects are Math and Science. She is a wife and mother of two growing sons as well as a two time cancer survivor. After seven years of teaching, her belief in Adventist Christian Education is stronger than ever.

Del Jean Murray-
Dickens: Grade 2
Ms. Murray – Dickens has 24 years experience in teaching both church and public schools. She began her education at Southern Adventist University, and holds a BA in music from University of Oregon, and a Masters of Education from Grand Canyon University. Her hobbies include tea, tea parties, all things Victorian, walking, growing roses, baking bread, and playing piano. Del Jean counts it an honor to be mother to a daughter and son. She is always accepting donations for her dark chocolate funds. Feel free to share your charge card information with her 24/7.

Darleen Roche:
Grades 3rd & 4th
Mrs. Roche has taught at SVCS for 20 years and her students will end the school year with respect for their classmates, an ability to read, and a love for the Lord. Faith in the Lord inspires her to share His loving kindness with the children. She has a BA in Education and also helps out with the Christmas program. Her hobbies include spending time with her granddaughters & family, reading, painting, piano and walking with her dogs.

Melanie Cano:
Grades 5 & 6
Mrs. Cano graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education with a passion to work with kids. After teaching various grades from 3-8 in California, she joins us for her 15th year of teaching. She enjoys spending time with her family—her husband of 20 years, teenage daughter, pre-teen son, and dog, and exploring her new home of New Mexico. Her own interests include baking, trying a variety of ethnic dishes, playing the piano, singing, watching musicals and movies, and sleeping in.

Yvette Chacon:
Grades 7 & 8
Ms. Chacon has twenty-three years of teaching experience, fifteen of those teaching history at Sandia View Academy. She is a graduate of the University of New Mexico and has furthered her education at Southwestern Adventist University. She is a fluent Spanish speaker and her hobbies include writing, knitting, woodworking and learning new forms of craftsmanship. She is a proud mother of two girls, with who she enjoys learning new things, skills and hobbies.

Diann Gurule: Secretary-Treasurer
I joined the family in 2009. I started out as an aide in the classrooms then was hired to be the Secretary/Treasurer in 2013.

Coach Alexandria Gurule: Athletic Director
This is Coach Alex. She has a B.S in Psychology from Southwestern Adventist University. She coached college ball for 2 years and now coach girls basketball at both Sandia View Christian School and Sandia View Academy. Sports has always been her passion and has changed her life for the better and wants to help give that opportunity to the students here. Her favorite chip is Miss Vickie’s jalapeño kettle.
